I have spent my career in the unglamorous part of technology: delivery. Making sure the thing that was promised actually ships, works, and survives contact with the people who have to use it.

That work took me through the FDIC, Elevance Health, Norfolk State University, Solvern Innovations, Integrated Business Systems and Marathon Consulting — as a Staff Director, a Senior Director of Engineering, a Chief Operating Officer, a Director of Information Technology and a Managing Director. Along the way I led teams of over 130 developers, managed multi-million dollar budgets, and delivered more than 100 software projects. A lot of that was in regulated industries, where "it mostly works" is not an acceptable answer and someone audits you afterward.

Most companies I talk to are not short on AI ideas. They have a pile of half-finished experiments, a stack of tool licenses nobody uses, and nothing in production. That is not a technology problem. It is a delivery problem, and it is the problem I have spent 35 years solving.

The model is the cheap part now. The expensive part is your data, your workflow, and the fifteen exceptions your team handles by hand and never wrote down. Most small businesses do not need a custom AI model. Almost all of them need someone who will finish the job.

C7AI Solutions is one person. That is a limitation and it is the point. You talk to me on the sales call, and I am the one doing the work afterward. Nothing gets handed to a junior you never met.

It also means I cannot take everything, so I am honest early about what I think will pay for itself and what will not. I would rather turn down a project in week one than explain it in month four.

I earned my Master of Public Administration and my B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University. I hold the PMP, SAFe Practice Consultant, SAFe Release Train Engineer, SAFe DevOps Practitioner, Professional Scrum Master, COBIT 5 and ITIL certifications, and I completed the USDA Executive Leadership Program. They are the reason I bring structure to work that usually does not have any.

I served over six years on the Hampton Planning Commission, and I chair the Hampton Economic Development Authority, helping guide strategic investment and growth in my hometown. I work with businesses across Hampton Roads — Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach — and remotely beyond it.
